The Executive Centre is delighted to support the UNICEF Charity Run to be held on 23 November 2014 (Sunday) at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, Lantau Island, Hong Kong.

Co-organised by the Hong Kong Committee for UNICEF and the Hong Kong Amateur Athletic Association, the UNICEF Charity Run aims to raise funds for the ‘UNICEF Unite for children, Unite against AIDS’ global campaign, which has the goal of “preventing the transmission of HIV/AIDS from mother to child”. Successfully held for eight consecutive years, the charity run is not only the flagship annual fundraising event for UNICEF HK, but also the second largest distance running event in Hong Kong.

Races include 3km Fun Run, 5km Fun Run, 10km Run and Half Marathon, encompassing scenic spots including the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, Inspiration Lake Recreation Centre, costal areas alongside the Airport Express station and Sunny Bay. In addition, this year, a Leadership Challenge has also been created to attract corporate, business and community leaders, and participation is strictly by invite only.

Gigi Liu, Corporate Director – Marketing & Communications at The Executive Centre, said, “Corporate responsibility is something that we take very seriously, and organisations like UNICEF need various types of support by businesses in every country in which they operate. The work they carry out does so much good for children in developing countries, and we’re very proud to support this Charity Run through making donations.”

The Hong Kong committee for UNICEF was founded in 1986, and organises fundraising and advocacy activities to provide financial support for UNICEF’s programmes across the world, as well as to raise awareness of the plight of children in developing countries.
